Matthew is part of the cancer surgery team at Pinnacle Surgery, and also at Box Hill Hospital and Peter MacCallum, Australia’s only hospital dedicated to cancer care.
Matthew is one of Melbourne’s most experienced Trans Oral Robotic Surgeons (TORS) and is involved in research aimed at reducing the treatment impacts for throat cancers, particularly those caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).
Traditional cancer treatments often have significant long-term effects on appearance and function in the head & neck. Matthew’s focus is on maintaining function and quality of life for patients he treats with Head & Neck Cancer, through modern, minimally invasive operative techniques, and close consultation with talented reconstructive surgeons.
Matthew also has significant experience treating thyroid nodules and thyroid cancers. He has been involved in several international presentations and publications regarding monitoring of thyroid cancer, and treatment of recurrent thyroid cancer.
